Based on 61% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Sauvignon Gris, and 14% Sémillon, the 2024 Château De Reignac Blanc reveals impressive aromatics of bright citrus, pineapple, exotic flowers, and orange blossom, with subtle background oak. Medium-bodied and concentrated on the palate, with integrated acidity, this was brought up in 60% new barrels, 20% concrete eggs, and 20% amphora.
What a bright, crisp, and gracefully smooth white wine – one sip brings instant refreshment. The vibrant acidity of Château de Reignac 2024 is a stroke of brilliance, stretching the wine’s structure and giving it a crystalline sheen. Orange peel and bergamot burst forward with agility, while white peach and beeswax anchor the mid-palate with ripe finesse. It’s a joyful sequence of movement, like a fluid passing game danced across the palate, each element connecting seamlessly in a lively, satisfying performance.
The 2024 Château De Reignac Balthus offers up ample cassis, liquid violets, spicy wood, and graphite notes from this 100% Merlot. Nicely textured and medium-bodied on the palate, with beautiful balance and plenty of ripe tannins, it sees 18 months in the same barrels used for both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation.
