Yet, this wine adeptly balances between “ice and fire,” exuding a warm and inviting character through its sweet pear, refreshing papaya, and crystallized sugar flavors. Although 2021 was a “banner year” for Bordeaux white wines, I find Château de REIGNAC 2022 to be even more exceptional.

These generous flavours continue onto the palate, with gently creamed custard apple, with a sense of light phenolic grip and delicate acidity. This holds together well, the little wrapping of mineral notes around the palate providing some sense of freshness. There is acidity here too, a rare sight in 2022.
