From just 3.3 hectares of vines, this is 59% Sauvignon Blanc, 16% Semillon and 25% Sauvignon Gris. A nose of lemon curd, vanilla meringue and crushed herbs here; it has a certain appeal, suggesting ripeness and freshness, and it stands out from the crowd. These generous flavours continue onto the palate, with gently creamed custard apple, with a sense of light phenolic grip and delicate acidity. This holds together well, the little wrapping of mineral notes around the palate providing some sense of freshness. There is acidity here too, a rare sight in 2022. Well done to Nicolas Lesaint and team.
